What the converter does

A single job: get an existing AS9102 Form 3 into a spreadsheet, without retyping it.

In one sentence

It reads the dimensional table out of an AS9102 Form 3 document and writes a 15-column .xlsx file, with the source file and page recorded on every row.

Features

1

15 pre-configured columns

Item, Char. No., Dimension, Nominal, Tol +, Tol −, Actual, Pass/Fail, Date, Inspector, Gage ID, NC Code, Disposition, Inspection Type, Source File. You never name a column or draw a template box.

2

Source traceability per row

Every row records which file and which page it came from. When a customer or auditor asks where a number originated, you have the answer without opening the PDF.

3

Low-confidence highlighting

Cells the parser was unsure about are highlighted yellow, in the preview and in the exported workbook. The tool surfaces uncertainty rather than hiding it.

4

Batch several files

Drop multiple Form 3 documents at once and get one consolidated sheet. Later files append rows rather than overwriting earlier ones.

5

Nothing is uploaded

Parsing runs in JavaScript in your browser. No backend, no storage, no account. Relevant when the drawing or dimensional data is ITAR- or EAR-controlled.

6

Works on a phone

Below 900 px the grid becomes one card per row, so rows stay editable on a phone or tablet. Numeric fields open the numeric keypad.

Supported input

InputSupportedNotes
Typed PDF Form 3 with a text layerYes Typical output from a QMS or CAD system. This is the primary path.
Tab-separated pasteYes Select the table in the PDF viewer and paste. Usually the most reliable route.
CSV / TSV / pipe-delimited pasteYes Quoted fields containing commas are handled.
Space-separated pasteYes The parser locates the longest run of numeric tokens to place nominal, tolerances and actual value.
Pasted text with a header rowYes Header rows are detected and consumed, and columns are mapped by name in English or Chinese.
Scanned / image-only PDFNo There is no text layer to read. The tool will say so and deduct nothing.
Handwritten shop-floor check sheetNo Substantially harder recognition problem, and out of scope by design.

What it deliberately does not do

These are design decisions, not missing features. Each one is there to keep the tool a tool.

Not supportedWhy
Calculating pass/fail from tolerance Conformity is a quality decision. The determination is copied from your document. If the tool recomputed it, you would need to audit the recomputation as well as the measurement.
Producing a formatted AS9102 Form 1/2/3 package That is a QMS function, and customer templates differ by prime. The tool outputs data, not a submission package.
Ballooning drawings or reading GD&T Requires CAD-level geometry handling and is a different product category.
Integrating with Net-Inspect, InspectionXpert or Discus Integrations need IT approval, per-customer configuration and vendor onboarding — the exact costs this tool exists to avoid. You upload the .xlsx yourself.
Accounts, cloud storage or team features They would require holding your data on a server, which breaks the no-upload guarantee.
Signing, sealing or certifying output Only your inspection authority can release a part.

How to verify that nothing is uploaded

  1. Open the converter.
  2. Open your browser developer tools and switch to the Network tab.
  3. Drag a Form 3 onto the drop zone.
  4. Observe: no request carries your document. Parsing happens locally.

You can also load the page, disconnect from the network, and keep working. Offline use is a genuine property of the tool rather than a marketing claim.

Output format

A real Office Open XML workbook (.xlsx), not a renamed CSV. It opens in Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice Calc, Apple Numbers and WPS Office. Numbers are written as numeric cells so you can sort, chart and pivot without converting text. The header row is frozen and an autofilter is applied. Cells flagged as low-confidence carry a yellow fill in the workbook itself, so the reviewer sees them without needing this website.
